Inserted Segments.

This shows a jig I made so that I can use my router on the Lathe. It is fully adjustable, up and down for any diameter of wood. The central part on top of the jig is also rotatable, so with a 90 degree router bit you can cut slots into your wood blank so you can infill with different types of wood and create your own patterns. This is a lot easier than using segmenting. You do need to have some form of indexing indexed to the router.
